Rigid Body Position and Orientation Control via Simulator Display

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all;

I want to simulate a robot manipulator an LabVIEW Robotics 2013 Module.

I have watched a video on YouTube, and get some question marks.

The link is here

In this VI, the desired position and orientation definitions of end-effector

is obtained via Simulator Display Window

First;

I want to know how can I control position and orientation of a rigid body via Simulator Display Window with a mouse?

Thank you for your attention

Are you trying to modify the property of position and orientation, or would you like to change the position/orientation based on an applied torque or force?

Mr. Nathan;

In fact, I am trying to set position and orientation of the End-Effector with controlling a 3D axis.

I want to add a 3D axis in Simulator display, and change its position and also orientation with my mouse.

After that, my inverse kinematics algorithm will give the angle values for obtaining

the posture of End-Effector which I have defined with my mouse on Simulator Display window.

How can I add controllable 3D axis on Simulator Display Window?

How can I change its position and orientation with my mouse?

Please share an example VI with me

Thank you

I've been asking around and it seems like our team in Shanghai may have the code that was used in the video. I'll let you know what comes up in the next couple days, we should have a community example in the works.

Thank you very much Mr. Nathan.

I will be waiting for your example VI.
