Run-time menu appearance change (LV8+) Font Change?

Hi Craig Dobis,

The easiest way to do this is to add the following line

systemFont="1" 24

towards the end of the Application.ini file that is created along with the Application.exe file. The number 24 decides the font size. Also, you need to copy the .exe and .ini file together if you are planning on distributing the executable.The following KnowledgeBase talks about the .ini file.

Windows decides the default font size of the programs that run on it and hence changes the Executable fonts. Check this KnowledgeBase for more information on that.

I think you were talking about changing the Font & Font Size of the RTM, not the font of LV on the whole, right?

If I m wrong, please correct me.

I also believe it is NOT POSSIBLE to can change the 'Run-Time' menu font type or size.

Yes, you are correct. I meant to change the RTM font and font size. However, if any of you have created your own menu bar to replace the RTM, I would be very interested in seeing that. I am sure with all the extra creative minds on this forum,  someone must have created their very own, super-fantastic menu system.

How about a "Flash" menu in an Active X container? Hhmmmmm....

I will have to think about that one.

I think either National Instruments used to ship an example with fly-out menus before they offered the tree control, or I saw something like this in LabVIEW Technical Resource many years back.  I am sure someone still has that example somewhere. 

And speaking of the tree control - maybe you can customize this and use as a menu?....Don
