What LabVIEW version are you using. If I change the properties to "unlocked", this fact shows up on the changes and it asks to be saved.

I saved it with the option "Remove passwords", and afetrwards it did not prompt me for unsaved changes. Is it normal behaviour?
Sounds normal. Once you save it with removed passwords, it is already saved so there are no more unsaved changes unless you later do something else.

I stress the first point, where even after you Unlock & tell OK, it asks for the saving of Unsaved Changes; but why is it NOT SO when we do the same thing thro' the File -->> Save with Options... & tell Remove Password & give the original password for cross-check. There is a Save button in the Save with Options dialog, similar to the OK button in the VI Properties dialog; but the latter asks for Unsaved Changes to be saved, while the former does not.
Is this so even in 8.x or I m confusing again?

Thank you very much, Altenbach!
Now I learnt some more UI design thoughts & meanings.
I didnt really 'see' the word Save until you pointed me out.
