The data coming from a simulated DAQ is behaving as it always has for me.
To play around with frequency, you can use the 'Simulate Signal' express VI. I attached a VI doing this (saved in LV2011). The same behavior persists. Hopefully NI is now aware of this.

Hi Joe,
Thank you for highlighting this behaviour in LabVIEW 2012. I can confirm that I see this behaviour in 2012 and not in 2011 so I will be filing a Corrective Action Request to take the problem to R&D so that they can assess how they are going to fix it.
As a temporary workaround you could possibly use the property node "defer panel updates" to force when the front panel updates as this will refresh the chart and stop the elongation. It is worth noting that the data produced (although looks wrong in the chart) is the correct data.
Thanks again.
Kind Regards,

This was reported to R&D (CAR # 380245) for further investigation. It is still under investigation.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? A client needs to review live data, and the timing is important. The only solution I've found is to compile to a LV2011 executable (not optimal). Thanks.

Is this only with simulated DAQ I/O??? Please say yes. I just upgraded my project to LV2012.

Hi Joe,
I just checked the status of the corrective action request. It is still being researched. Unfortunately, no viable workarounds have been identified to date.
