TDM excel add-in 2010 with 65536 rows limitation.

Hi

I installed TDM excel add-in 2010 and have excel 2010 (32-bit version) on my laptop.

When I open a TDMS file with 300000 rows by using excel TDMS importer, it will launch the excel automatically. But it will show a dialog box saying that the number of rows exceed the limitation of the program (65536). It confuses me because excel 2010 suppose be able to open more than 1 million rows data file.

The add-in works fine with any TDMS file within the 65536 rows limitation.

Any thoughts or idea, please let me know, thanks.

Hi,

This is a bug in the TDM Excel Add-in with Excel 2010. We already have a CAR # 246424 for the bug.

The Add-in works fine with Excel 2007, you can import up to 1 milion rows data.

Not sure what CAR # 246424 refers to? Could you give me little bit more info for this?

Hi Marco,

CAR refers to Corrective Action Request. NI uses the system to track bugs.

For this request, we already started investigating. Thanks for pointing out the issue!

R&D just posted a new version of the TDM Excel Add-in to the web site.  Please download it and give it another try with Excel 2010 and let us know if that helps.
