Thermo Orion

Has anyone ever interfaced with any Thermo Orion meters or switch boxes with LabVIEW?

I haven't worked with this particular equipment, but it shouldn't be too hard. I was able to find an online manual for working with their ph meters and the command structure is very simplistic since it was apparently designed to be used with nothing more than a dumb terminal. If that link doesn't work got to www.thermo.com and click on "Visit Thermo's Business Units" and select Thermo Orion under the "Environmental Instruments Division".

Mike, the particular instrument I am working with, the switchbox model 607 has a very small manual which does not include the pin-out for the serial port. So I am first trying to determine what type of cable I need. Any suggestions?

Did you check the web site for a manual? That would be a first step.
