Transferring software to different computer within same company.

Tried to register software on internet.. said already registered to another user. What are your policies on software sharing within company?

You should read your license - it specifies no more than one computer at a time.

(I am not an NI spokesman).

I don't think that he is trying to ADD an illegal copy, I think that he is trying to MOVE a legal copy. I am not sure about the procedure for this other than maybe you don't register it again. A licence number was used with the original installation, just use it again?

One quick way to find out is to call your sales person.

Well, MOVING a copy wouldn't constitute "sharing" as he mentioned.

In any case, you can transfer (MOVE) a copy from JOE to FRED by calling the NI rep and telling them to transfer serial number XXXXX from JOE to FRED.

If JOE keeps a copy and uses it after doing that, it's against the license, I believe.

Good point. I missed the word sharing. That would indeed be against the license.
