Trouble setting up traditional DAQ in LabVIEW 8.6

I am having trouble setting up traditional DAQ in LabVIEW 8.6.  I downloaded version 6.9.3 of traditional DAQ from http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/fn/p/sn/n23:3478.41.181.1130/lang/en and then tried to install.  When I did, I got the following error messages.

1. You have a higher version of NI DAQ provider for MAX.  You must uninstall it before installing NI Provider for MAX.

2. Error 1603 occurred while installing NI DAQ Provider for MAX.

3. Error 1605 occurred while installing NI-PAL 1.56f0 Engine.

I couldn't figure out how to uninstall NI Provider for MAX and wasn't sure I really wanted to.  In conclusion, I was unable  to install traditional DAQ.  Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Did u try installing Traditional-DAQ using the drivers DVD that came with LabVIEW 8.6 software?

If you want to setup Traditional DAQ, that would be the best option i believe...

I was just reading my "DAQ Getting Started Guide" that came with my data acquisition card.  It says "Do not install NI-DAQmx if your existing applications include unsupported components ...".  I think this may be the problem.  I want to upgrade an application that was written in LabVIEW 4.1 using Traditional DAQ.  However, DAQmx drivers have been loaded on the computer.  How do I go about uninstalling DAQmx drivers?

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)
