- I will see if there is a better way around this, but the best one available that I know of now is to attach code snippets in a text file.
- It is a known issue with the system that if you reload the page (by previewing the post or receiving an error message) before submitting it, the attachment is lost.
- The new system doesn't automatically recognize URLs and generate hyperlinks. To make the text link, you need to add the HTML tags.
- We have requested the feature of giving the users the option to sort the threads in the board by most recent activity or by start date. It should be available in the community soon.
- From the board view, the ratings column only populates when the question has been rated. The system doesn't automatically average all of the ratings on the thread and display that average. This is something we can consider as a new feature moving forward. From the board view you can see who posted most recently to the thread. The users who have reached the highest level in the community have bolded names so they will stand out in that column.
- I will see if this is possible. Since the new community has the option to rate any message rather than just answers, it will be hard to trend the number of ratings to see if it is declining because the number of opportunities is much higher. Because the new community offers personalization options, we might actually see more users logging in earlier in their visit.
- The forum tool doesn't support this out of the box, but we will see what we can do to get it back. I agree completely that the friendly competition and recognition is great for the community.
- The Answered/Unanswered filters available at the top of the board view will allow you to see the posts separated the way you could in the old system.
- The Advanced Search actually has the option to limit the results by the user who posted them, so I believe this is possible.
Sample Search10 - Thank you so much for all of your valuable feedback! We look forward to growing together in this new community!
Thanks!
