Where is it or why is it missing?

In activity 11 of LabVIEW 6.0.2, a line reads, "Add the Sine Wave VI, available from the Functions»Waveform»Signal Generation palette, to the Sine Wave case." I cannot find the Sine Wave VI at the mentioned location.

Instead of : Functions»Waveform»Signal Generation palette

It should read : Functions»Waveform»Waveform Generation palette.

On this palette you should find 'Sine waveform.vi'

There is the same problem for version 6.1, too. The exact location should be
National Instruments/Labview 6.1/ vi.lib/measure/masignal/........

Do you possibly have only LabVIEW base version? You probably need at least the full version for these VIs.

Also make sure that the "Palette View" is not set to basic. It should be at the default setting.

I just fired up my old 6i and the real sine wave.vi is in:
Functions..Analyze..Signal Processing..Signal Generation..Sine Wave.vi. (See image 1).

However, for the activity you actually need the Sine Waveform.vi
Functions..Waveform..Waveform Generation..Sine Waveform.vi. (See image 2)

What LabVIEW version (Base, Full, Professional, etc.) do you have?
