I am relatively new to writing VI's and working with LabVIEW. One piece of advice I was given was to use the forums because it is a great resource. So hopefully it will help!
Just FYI, I am working with LabVIEW 8.5 on a Vista OS machine...
The goal of the VI I am trying to create is the following:
A program which will run for a certain amount of acquisition time (i.e., 30 seconds) in which it will acquire an audio signal (input = computer microphone). This data will be recorded into a spreadsheet (for easy future manipulation, etc), and then the spreadsheet will be forwarded to (ideally) a web-page.
Key variables that can be determined by user:
1) Acquisition time
2) Number of samples/channel
3) Sample Rate (S/s)
4) number of channels
5) bits per sample
I did try using Signal Express and managed to record sound for a user-determined amount of time, however I was not able to include the other variables or have the data written / forwarded.
Also, if there is any other information someone may need, please let me know.
