absolute date control format

I would like to programmatically change the appearance of absolute date controls/indicators from dd:mm:yy to mm:dd:yy but have not been able to do so with property node format strings etc. Can anyone suggest a method please?

The format string property seems to do what you want. Look at the help file for that property. The attached VI is in LV 7.1.
