block diagram freeze

When I open the block diagram, I start scrolling up, and it freezes.  Any ideas why and how to fix it?  It only freeze when it gets to a certain point too in the block diagram.

Thanks,

guilio

Can you post the code?

It may be related to an insane object on your block diagram.

Did you save a previous version of your code?

Or can you remove some of the last objects you have added since saving it last?  Before doing so, save it as something else first...

Do you have a VISA constant or something similar at that point?

I have seen something similar in older LabVIEW versions, but it's the only the first time that it displays the constant (or the control, if it's on the front panel). I'm guessing this was because the control needed to update the list of available resources. I haven't seen this in LV 8.6 and later.

Is that an empty block diagram or it has code?..... Which version you are using...? It might be due to improper installation of LabVIEW

I can't post the code to prorpritory information.

This is code, not a blank VI.

I"m using Version 2009, haven't updated to 2010 yet.

On an older version, it opens up, but then takes longer to open the block diagram or crashes.  No VISA items either.  Just wanted to get ideas before I start deleting stuff to see what it could be.

Thanks

Might be worth doing a repair install to ensure that LabVIEW isn't trying to load a corrupt file?

I was thinking that, but it's doing it on both computers.  Maybe it's more then just the LV program?

What kind of functions are you using in this code?

Is the specifications of both PC's the same?

I still recommend a repair on both PC's just to be sure!

Which LV and what OS are you using?

Many thanks,

Functions, I'm using Mathscript, Vision, then I'm calling on Ocean Optics Spectrometer VI, USB DAQ VI's.  It seems that it locks up when I scroll and get to the Mathscript part of the program.  I'll try to install LV 2010 since I now have it.  Right now, I have LV 2009 running on XP.

Quickly-----

Why are you scrolling on the BD?  Is this truely "code" or "Abstract art"?

That HUGE consideration asside-  what happens in the Navagation window (Ctl-Shift-N)?  How much RAM on the machines?  What is the size of the VI on disc?  Does this happen running or while editing?
