I do not know any recommended book, since I am not in the robotics field, but usually after some googling, you can come up with some, which show promising quality.

All depends on your actual interest, and the required level. Besides, you wrote "mobile robot instrumentation" AND "measurement system". Asking for a book for "measurement system" is way too general, like asking for a "book for physics". Ok, what part of physics? Quantum mechanics? solid state phyics? Secondary school level? University level?

So unless you specify better what you are looking for, we can only recommend what you can also do: search on the internet.

mobile robot design

i've studied principles in instrumentation since i was undergraduate student. i am trying to design TestBeds mostly used loadcells. till know i've design and manufacture two of them and face many problems. i seek for design paterns and recommendations and how to use configuration of sensors and what are most important concerns.

you know when you rigid a mobile robot you make it to stand and some dynamics are changed so we seek for that?

i hope i can clear and eluminate what i think.

The best book I've seen on robotics is this one: Springer Handbook of Robotics

It covers everything from mechanical design, electronics, sensing, actuation, software etc. etc. Completely unrelated to LabVIEW though!
