can the dll built in Labview be called in labview

Hi
i built a Dll for the attached Vi and tried to call it in another vi. When i run this vi in which i called the dll, it exits the labview.
why is it so ?

I have no problem in calling the DLL that's built. Did you specify the datatype correctly when you configured the Call Library Function Node? I've attached a VI that works.

If you are returning a string try to populate the length input or include it in your code interface node and then populate it if you don't have it already. I noticed that if you don't populate that length LV will sometimes close on you. You will see if using a string output the length automatically added when you configure your inputs and outputs when building the DLL.

Another possibility is a bug in LabVIEW 6.0. You need at least 6.0.2 to be
able to do that.

I tried this in 6.1 and the same result that was described occurred.

There are actually some common troubleshooting techniques for LabVIEW to LabVIEW DLLs that have been compiled into a KnowledgeBase. I would recommend taking a look at this KB at :
