choose between two Real Time Target applications?

I have two real time target applications that I want my users to be able to run, without LabVIEW or Project Explorer. Once the first application is loaded, with Project Explorer > Build Specifications > Rt. clk. myrttapp.rtexe > Run as startup, and the FPGA is also loaded, I have occasion to call Download Bitfile.vi, an FPGA System Replication tool, in order to download my second real time target application on the the flash memory of my CompactRIO real time target controller. However, LabVIEW complains that the FPGA has something running on it, and I must stop the FPGA application before I can download the second FPGA application into the FPGA.

I tried using FPGA Invoke Method > Abort inside my real time target application to stop the FPGA application before I run Download Bitfile.vi, and this works successfully. However, I am concerned that another user real time target application will have seized the FPGA, and that I will be unable to use FPGA Invoke Method > Abort in my own application to stop the FPGA from running. In that case, I will be unable to stop the FPGA execution, and I will be unable to download a new FPGA application into the FPGA.

Can anyone out there suggest another way to stop the FPGA execution? I tried pressing the RESET button on the CompactRIO, but this does not stop the FPGA VI from running.

Thanks in advance,

Asking the same question multiple times does not lead to a faster answer. It just irritates people.

It was not meant to be a duplicate post. I was trying to clarify.

Then please post the clarification in the original thread so that others trying to help you have the information in one place, without having to look all over the place for it.

Thanks.

Let's see if this user gives you an attitude the same way he gave me in this message.

Spamming the board with the same question AND a bad attitude AND no hint of an apology.

What in the world are you talking about? What personal attack? I'm indicating that you've already asked this question so others who come along will look in the original thread for the information, rather than having the information spread out over several threads, or to prevent them from asking the same questions that have already been asked. Do you think we do this to hinder or harm you? If so, then you've got the wrong idea.
