desktop shortcut for vi application

Hallo all,

I'm trying to create a shortcut for my vi application, but the "working directory"

C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\win2suse\Desktop\mylabview\myvi.vi

is unvalid.

How could I get around it.

just right click the file (myvi.vi) and select create shortcut, cut and paste the short cut to desktop.

Are you talking about Labview working directory or the working directory associated with the VI. If you are talking about the startup directory then:

After you create the shortcut, right click the icon and fill in startup directory.

You will need to click on Tools->Options and change the appropriate path. You did not specify exactly, what kind of path change you want the VI to use.
