errors-50350 and -89130

Hi John,

I took your board to R&D to be tested on a 64-bit Windows Vista machine with DAQmx 8.5.  The board installed fine, was able to reset successfully, passed the self test, and worked fine in test panels.  It looks like we will not be able to reproduce the error you were seeing.  Is there anything else you would like me to test on the board before sending it back to you?

The real test is will it log data with signal express light?
I do not know where to go from here.
I do not remember what other board we used in my system but it did work fine.
If I cannot get that board to run in by system I have a real problem.
I could change out the disk drive and reinstall everthing from scratch
Next we would buy a new mother board.
What else shoud I try?
It could be that it will run fine when it comes back. If it does we will have no idea why and it could happen again.

Hi John,

Since it works without problems in MAX, I suspect it will log data with LabVIEW SignalExpress LE.  However, I will test this out myself just to be certain.

Once I have tested this out, I will send the board back to you and can help you continue to troubleshoot this problem.

You mentioned that you had another PCI card working in the slot at one point.  Was there ever an NI DAQmx device working without problems in this computer, or have you only tested it with a PCI video card?

Hi Elizabeth,

My board worked for a while without problems. I had run MAX and  Signal Express.
The system did collect data and save it to a file.
After the 4462 stopped working our NI rep brought a 6000 series card out and ran max on it.
The short answer is we have had 2 NI cards working in the slot . 1 after this one quite.

Thank you for your efforts.
John

Hello John,

I apologize that I was not able to get back to you sooner.  I was out sick for a couple of days earlier in the week and I am just now catching up.

I cannot find any problems with your device.  It works perfectly in both MAX and in LabVIEW SignalExpress.  It seems like there must be something wrong with your computer, so that will probably be the next thing for us to troubleshoot.

You could also try upgrading to DAQmx 8.6.  I doubt that will make a difference, but it's worth trying.

Hi John,

I just wanted to let you know that I dropped the board off with the RMA department this afternoon, so they should be returning it to you shortly.  Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

Hi John,

Does Windows Device manager see the device at all?  Let me know if you are able to see the card in Device Manager but not in MAX.  If you do see it in Device Manager, try right-clicking on the device and selecting Update Drivers.

One other thing to try would be upgrading to DAQmx 8.6.  Are you still using 8.5?

Let me know how this goes.

System does show device in device manager. System could not find a better driver for device.
I have been running DAQmx 8.5  Downloaded and started to install DAQmx 8.6
Internal Error 2738 The NI Measurement Studio DAQmx for Visual Studio 2005 installation has failed with error 2738.
Currently installing NI Measurement Studio DAQmx for Visual Studio 2005 Part 31 of 110.
I will continue but I do need to be able to run Visual Studio.
