file path too long

In LabVIEW 2015 it (file dialog) does not return an error nor does it return the full string, a truncated path is returned.

The path controls and indicators don't seem to have this limitation, only the file dialog express VI.

sorry for necromancing this thread, but felt compelled to share what I just learned today 😞

For anyone reading this thread, you may be interested to know that changes were made in LabVIEW 2025 Q3 on the topic of file path lengths.
