No. The sensor output is still 12 V and its internal resistance is less than the 2200 ohms so you would still give overvoltage to the DAQ input. To do something like that you should probably use a comparator with w 5 V output. Then you could use the counter as you have been wanting to do.

This time i run the cod in attachment and after a while this error comes;

That will not work.  Find someone who understands electronics and ask them to build a suitable signal conditioning circuit for you.

With all of your random circuits and programming attempts, I would not be a bit surprised if you haven't already destroyed DAQ device. DISCONNECT out and do not connect until you have a functional signal conditioning setup that you verify with an oscilloscope. Then, if the code does not work, you can consider getting a new card.

Is that the right block diagram for counter terminal?Because when i run it seems like it is running forever and push the stop button the view is not changing.

Sgirgin,

 

That block diagram looks fine for a Counter Input task, but like was said before, there's a good possibility that your DAQ card may be damaged at this point.

 

Have you verified your signal using an oscilloscope?
