Hello Sir,
I am trying to detect an solar cell. I have taken images by using Electromluminescence imaging process however I am confused with what is boundaries of cell and why it is necessary and how can I detect the cell with using a picture. please guide me through.

To detect the cell out of image. I thought, histogram could be a good step to take however again i dont know how to detect the solar out of the image. can you guide me please. I have attached an example of image as well. Provide me any example which can be useful for me.

I'm using LV2010 so I can open your VIs. Do you have the Vision Assistant package or just NI-Vision? The Assistant would make this very easy. If you need to use the Vision primitives look into edge detection and/or the IMAQ Detect Shapes VI. You image is a white square on a black background, it should be very easy to detect it. If you do have the Vision Assistant you can use it like a wizard to play around with your images and see the results of the detection tools as you modify the various parameters in each tool.

Thanks for advice, I have made an vi which is actaully detecting the rectangular but now I am confused how to draw the detected image on my front panel. Please guide me through. Please.. I tried to understand the Vision assistance but it was very complicated for me.
