how to display computer time in labview

Solved!

Hi,

I wanna relate system time with my VI. I mean I can show what system time when I start and end VI. For example, I start my VI at 1pm and end it at 1:10. This info can be told by Labview? Real time module seems to work in this way but I am not sure. Does any one has this experience?

Thanks

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, and what the Realtime Module has to do with this. The Get Date/Time in Seconds or the Get Date/Time String will return the time.

Here is an illustration of what fc mentioned.

You can extract the values using clusters.

1. Start a separate thread, your question is not related

2. Attach your vi

3. Do not use the DAQ assistant or dynamic data type, you do not have control of what is going on.

4. I think there is no timing data associated with your dynamic data wire.
