how to edit a Vi so you could add an input to it?

i got it. thanks

 

Also, I'm using a DAQ Assitant that has 4 channels from. Do you happen to know how to choose which channel to output from the DAQ data because each channel has to be connected separately to stuff.

Use the split signals function in the Express, Signal Manipulation palette.  The block icon can be expanded up or down to have has many outputs as you need.  I believe the order of the outputs is directly related to how you defined the channel order in the DAQ assistant.

There is also a Select Signals Express VI if you really want to stick with Express VIs.
