Problem with motor operation

im having a problem with the motors that when i run the program and click the button designated to move those motors, even if i release the button sometimes the motors keep going or they dont respond right away. The way i have it programmed is that one button controls two motors. any help?

There isn't much we can do to help.  Without seeing any code, we can't even hazard wild guesses as to what your program is doing and why it isn't working the way you expect.

How are these motors controlled?  DAQmx outputs?  Serial communication with a motor controller?  Some other way?
