I have question , I am using keithley card 3100 with LABVIEW ,, I am trying to interface oscillscope with the LABVIEW and draw sin wave in the oscillscope I got erroe message :

driverlinx invaild subsystem

Plz help me

Hello Doha,

I have a few questions for you. What type of oscilliscope are you using, also how are you connecting to it? Another thing, how are you communicating to the scope through Labview?

i am using normal oscillscope that is used in electronics lab ,  it has two channel . I used one and connect the red termainal to the output in DAQ card and the other black terminal connected to ground in DAQ

Is it a "normal" scope from Agilent, LeCroy, Tektronix, or someone else? If you are actually getting the error from the scope driver, then you need to provide details on the make and model of scope. My guess though, is that you are getting the error from the DAQ board. Can you confirm that. If it is coming from the Keithley device, it might be that it's driver is not correctly installed. The first place to check would be with Keithley. Did the board ship with some sort of configuration utility that you can test it with?

I have tested teh keilthely board by the labview and the driver its working

DriverLINX is a software package from Keithley for their data acquisition boards. You can't be getting this error message from anything you do with an external scope. So, if in one LabVIEW program you don't get any errors when you test the Keithley, you don't get an error and in another you do, you must be configuring the Keithley driver incorrectly in the second program. You should also know exactly which of the Keithley functions is generating the error. Providing the program you wrote to configure the Keithley and letting the forum know which function is throwing the error will help you solve the problem.

Okay, so you have a single function from Keithley and this has to be the source of the error. Unfortunately, I don't know how much more help I can give. At one point, we had a Keithley daq board and the set of VIs. We ended up not using the board and returned it but I thought we still had a copy of the LabVIEW drivers. I can't find them though, and since Keithley makes you pay for them, I can't simply download them. Hopefully, a current Keithley user will see this post and offer some information. Since the drivers are sold by Keithley, their technical support should be able to help.

Hello Doha,

After doing research on this, I found that the error you are receiving may be caused by an incorrect device number. If you could go to the config program of DriverLINX and check to make sure you are using the correct device number in Labview.  You can check this forum post for a similar issue here. Also it may be a good idea to contact Keithley as suggested before.
