PXI card for J1587

I installed almost all the required software with the help of Ni tech support online, so Do I still need to install the drivers that I received along with hardware? Because when I tried to install the CD( NI Labview RT Target software for NI PXI(e)-8101/8102/8108/8110) it says “ NI labView 8.6x Real time or
labwindows/CVI RT9.0 must be installed before you can install this software” and closes. Please suggest me on this.

Also how to verify version of labview real time software on my laptop.

Have you also installed MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer) on your laptop?

From here, under devices you can identify that you have a connected Real Time target under Remote Devices and under 'Software' you can see what version of RT software you have.
