Dennis,
I call it the 'Google' mentality. These are people who expect an instant answer to their questions. In no way interested in learning anything else but the answer. Leaves them in a very poor position when they encounter something that can't be googled.

'Test' of course.
And just to add a postive comment
Test,
In your decision to pursue a career in insurance, I will say that I very much admire a person who recognizes their own limitations.

Labview Certified fine. And exactly what is your engineering degree and where did you get it. Or is this your best dimploma. Labview certifed?
So you think you have some trainied engineering science mind, and one who needs labview help obvious ddoes not. Where is the logic here.

Here in Arizona, starting at 3rd grade, students have to take the AIMS test, part of the 'No child left behind' mantra.
School districts and individual schools are graded on how many students pass. If the school drops below a certain percentage in multiple years, they are labeled as 'underperforming' and I beleive they also have funds withheld.
It is a multiple choice exam, high school students that fail it are not allowed to graduate. They can retake the test many times until they pass if they wish.
Every year, kids spend weeks out of the schoolyear learning HOW to pass the test, NOT learning their normal curricula of various subjects. STUPID, in my opinion.
It is very stressful on the kids since they are pushed into this and money is involved for the schools.
Just my 2 cents worth of rant on the subject.

This knight of NI must be an aggy, nothing else could explain these conclusions based on zero facts and evidence. Obvious, not a sceince person, who instead seeks facts and eviddence before conclusions. Just please lets just stick to answer technicasl questions for p[eople without telling them to use Labview Help for answers. That is no help, what is the point of this forum then,. Why not just shut it down and direct everyone to labview help.
I have degree in Applied Physics, Semiconductor Technology, and Masters in Electrical Engineering from the Univ Texas Austin

Hi Anthont/Test,
All kidding aside and speaking only for myself, I want to help you if I can because you have stated that you want to learn labVIEW. But it is LabVIEW I want to help you learn and I am not interested in helping you pass the test. In the real world LV developers seldom know all of the answers required to solve the problems we are presented. Recognizing this fact, I attempt to "teach a person ti fish" rather than give them the fish they need today. If I were to give you all of teh answers to the test and you memorized them and you passed, I could be setting you up for disaster if you got a job with the certification while in fact you did not know how to address previously unsolved challenges. I would be doing you a diservice.
I suspect that I am not alone in this general line of thinking.
So it is because we care that we do not give the answer but rather try to guide you to finding the answer yourself.
There is a line in the 23rd psalm that reads something like "Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Rods and staffs were used to guide the flock and keep them out of harms way. If you are feeling like you are being beat-up it may be because we are with our words try to guide you to the way that will benfit you the most.
As always, just trying to help,
Ben

Ahh, this thread is still going strong this morning, and I though it'll run it's course overnight. 😄

Don't forget to also mention your "degree" in insurance sales, or did you flunk this one?
Are you still in Austin? Many of us will be there in August for NI week. Maybe you can join us for some beer and shop talk. 🙂 By that time your stressfull situation of last-minute studying for a test has passed and we can have a more relaxed conversation.
Good luck with the tests!

Test questions and answers aside, that's an inappropriate comment. It's also a little sexist.
What a pity that the forums have lately been flooded with insults and rantings rather than productive comments. What a waste of time and bandwidth!
