labview version converter

Hello,

Working on my LV 8.50 I suddenly realized I cannot use my older code in versions 4.xx, 5.xx, 6xx and 7.xx. I find installing & removing older versions taking hours of my precious time very annouying. Does anyone know of a backwards-compatibility converter that can load and open VIs saved in older versions? I recall there was a package to convert from versions below 3 to 4 but 4 is also very obsolete now.

The package to convert from 3 to 4 was a slightly modified LabVIEW 4 I believe. LabVIEW 8.5 can open VIs created with version 6 or later so simply install LabVIEW 6. No reason to uninstall any version unless you have completed all of your conversions. Just don't install any of the drivers that came with the older version.
