multiple, indepent, simultanouos acquisition

What is the best method to run a multiple, indepent, simultanouos acquisition?
I have five similar processes. but they run separately. this means one could be in the acquisition loop while another has just finished it (criteria) an is doing some digital out and the third is in a wait loop until it starts again.

National Instruments has some PCI simultaneous-sampling multifunction DAQ cards. Specifically the NI 6110 and 6111. With this card you can do true simultaneous acquisition. If you are more concerned with sychronizing 5 independent processes in LabVIEW then you might want to look into the synchronization VI found on the Advanced sub-palette. There you can find VI that can be used to sychronized events on your block diagram. I find occurances easiest to use. The following webpages might be helpful:
