so sorry to nag u again but i was wandering how i could read the x y data from spreadsheet and giv them to x and y inputs of the lev-mar function. once again im quite new to the labview area and sorry if its a noobish question 😄

ok i was able to read the data file which is a text file with delimeter tab. but how do i make this into 2 arrays so i can input X and Y seperately?

Easiest would be to delete the first line in the text file (the line containing the variable names).

Now take my last example, add a "read from spreadsheet file" and turn the existing array control into an indicator (right-click the terminal...change to indicator). Now it should look like that (the index array that you need is already in place. Check the online help if things don't make sense). :):

(If you want to keep the header line in the file, you need to skip the first line one way or another, complicating things.)
