I am afraid this is not the thing I want. Because using this method you can make the border of the control transparent not the frame resulting from the key focus feature.

Then, I think you should go for the Str Ctl from the Systems control pallette.

 

I remember long back I did something on your lines, where the cursor alone will blink within the control with its Keyfocus set to true, but there would not be any border around it.

Did you mtry out with the Str Ctl available in the Systems pallette. I m sure it works for Keyfocus w/o the black border.
