porta from mextar

Hi,

is there anybody out there using a Porta device from Mextar?
if yes, do you have any driver or example vi's? or do you have a win2000-running version of Mextalk and Mexframe?

Hi Yves,

i searched our Knowledgebases, Drivers and Examples for the Device "Porta", but i found no entries. After searching google, i just found an e-mail-adress (Mextar@klik.ch) from the developers of "Porta". Maybe you can ask there for an driver or example.

I also see that you can communicate over the serial port, so when you´re using LabVIEW you can use the VISA-VI´s or the Instrument I/O-Assistant (LabVIEW 7.0 / 7.1) to communicate with the device. I hope you have the protocoll and the commands to communicate with "Porta".

Hi Alex,

I already asked the firm. But they don't support this device anymore.
I just have a "Labframe.dll" which isn't working properly anymore. When running it LabView7 returns the error: "no active lpt found or active kernel driver not load".
I presume that means that no communication could be established.
I only found the protocoll-file (labframe.dll). But unfortunately I have no expirience with VISA. And I'm not sure what the above error means. Is it a LabView error or an error from the dll?

What I also wanted to say is that the device has been presented on NI DAYS in November of 1996.
Might it be possible that NI itself has some code?
