problem in installing linx in labview 2016

I likewise got several errors installing LINX recently. I fully updated all my labview versions and rebooted and then downloaded LINX through VIPM and it eventually worked. However, it probably took 4 times to get it to download and unpack properly. Also, just be aware that certain platforms are only supported on Labview 2014 32-bit apparently. Really sucks.

Error 5 is File Already Open.  Is it possible you have some anti-virus software that is scanning recently downloaded files (like the ones VIPM downloads) causing this issue?  Maybe disable them, and/or restart your computer?  I've never seen this error when installing a package.
