"vi analyzer" missing

Just how useful is the VI Analyzer?  I had never heard of it, and for $1K it would really have to be a big time saver!

Yeah, I had seen those Altenbach, but they don't really give me enough of a feel for how valuable they would be.  I don't work in a group developevement environment, and I'm used to how my VIs look, so I don't need to worry about hidden wires, objects etc.  I am more interested in how much it would really help to improve performance.  I tried the online demo, but they didn't have the VI Analyzer installed!  It would be great to be able to upload a VI that I know could be optimized and run the analyzer on it   Kinda hard to justify spending $1K on "I heard it was cool, and might help productivity.  Or not Smiley Surprised ."

I wholeheartedly agree with Altenbach. This is a great tool and worth the money (if you didn't buy the Developer's Suite). My favorite among the ton of options is the one that finds all VI's that don't have documentation. That alone saves me headaches later during a code review.

Now that I've had a chance to use the VI Analyzer, I have to say it is handy function but not worth $1000.  In fact, it is one of those tools that should be a part of Labview.  This would help newbies work their way up the learning curve as well as make Labview a more desireable programming format for the market.
