raised frame error

Wonder if anyone encountered this error when using Decorations/Raised frame

Once I put my buttons in, they simply would not work! Although sometimes it works...

I'm using version 7.1

I have already solved the problem by redrawing a raised frame over the buttons, hence I lost that error version.

The thing I noticed(during the error) was when my mouse cursor was over the buttons, there were no highlighted framepoints of the buttons.

Instead only framepoints of the raised frame was seen. Subsequently when I proceeded to remove the raised frame, immediately my buttons work.

Queer...

Then it must have been due to the different layers - the button (although visible) must have been behind the frame. You just could have moved the frame to the back - this should have solved your problem.

Hello kingkong,

did you draw the frames after making all the buttons? Then the decoration is in front of the buttons and thus disabling access to them.
Just use the Forward/Back button on the front panel menu line to put the decoration "to back"!

Best regards,

Hi, I did a simple experiment...

The layer position of the frame (Raised/Flat/Recessed) is not affecting the controls placed in it.

Hope I am right 🙂

Cheers!

I just tried this in LV8.0. I place a button on the front panel and then I placed a raised frame "over" the button (though the button was still visible). There were no problems to push the button. Maybe there was some kind of "bug-fix" on that topic.
