remote desktop stoping labview web publishing when logging out.

We have labview installed on a server collecting data from VPN's and then publishing to the web. We are connecting to the server using remote desktop connection. The prodlem I have is that when I log off labview stops, it will restart went i log back in and runs all the time its connected. Any ideas!!!

Hi Russ,

Usually when you log off a machine (after having remoted to it) the computer will log off.

(You will notice that you have to enter your password in once you have connected to the computer.)

A way around this would be to use a program that doesn't require a windows password to take over the machine.  You could try vnc (www.realvnc.com)  it's a free trial software that will allow you to connect to the computer and (in the preferences) you can set that the computer does not log you out when you disconnect.

Give that a go?

Or you could just close the Remote Connection program. This will leave the user 'active' Note that windows will display a message saying this!
If you have the Remote connection full-screen you have to go to the top center of the screen and click the 'X'
