run 2 vi simutaneously

can i run two vi. on a Lenovo laptop simultaneously? one NI 435x Thermalcouple.vi for temperature acquisition. the other vi for 6K Parker motors motion control (no data taking).
 
Labview version 7.1
Window XP

Or, are you not sure how to run VIs in parallel?

there is no prolems at all.

i am concerned because i don't know if the other vi will mess up with the vi which is doing data ACQ.

it doesn't seem to be the case. thanks

Do they share similar (same) resources?  If not, then it should be okay.

If they do, then you could use semaphore(s).
