run-time instructions

I was told that I could run a vi on a windows machine over a net and from my mac using run-time. I ave installed run-time on both machines but can't find any instructions. Can I do what I want? How?
Thanks

You're probably looking for the web server access for an executable. Check the manual on how to enable the web server for an executable. This basically allows you to control an executable via a web browser.

So I need the LabView Player?

No, you don't need that. Besides, that's obsolete. Open up the LabVIEW manual and read the section on "Web Server". It's all in there. What version of LabVIEW are you running?

I figured that out and am now trying to configure everything. I am upto step 3.
Make sure you load the top-level VI for the client to download into memory. Does this mean it already has to be runnning in order to access it?

As noted in the documentation, the answer is yes.
