serial visa resource empty

Estoy teniendo un problema con el resource name de un vi, exactamente mi problema es que aparece vacia la lista de los puertos com, pero utilizando un programa para testear el serial funciona correctamente, lo cual me dice q es problema de labview y no del driver del puerto.

Eh estado buscando en el foro pero no eh encontrado mucha informacion.

Have you verified that:

1. VISA has been installed
2. The serial ports show up in MAX?

As Smercurio asked, did you install NI-VISA?  From your description, it appears that it was not installed.

Can you see the serial ports under devices inside MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer)?
