signal correlation

Hi,
I am trying to correlate two random signals, Frist after generating the signal of desired spectrum, i quantized it but i dont know how to change this quantized waveform in to bits for correlation.
Please help.

Hi aneruca,

You can use the Convolution and Correlation Express VI to calculate auto and cross correlation of a signal. This Vi takes in a waveform as input but ignores timing data.

I am not too sure what you mean by changing quatized waveform to bits for correlation. Can you elaborate on this?

Thanks,

Thank you Abhinav T. for your quick response.  This is what i have been trying to do:
I have gnenerated N random noise that i need to correlate.  I thought i will need to sample the nose at 1 MHZ and then change the samples to binary bits and pass them in to a correlation VI. So far all that i have tried failed.  Does  the samples need to be in binary to be correlated?  or can i just run the wave forms in to a correlatiion VI that i have created my self.
Thank you for your time.

Hi,

You should be able to directly wire the waveform into the Convolution and Correlation Express VI. You do not need to convert it to binary bits.
