Did you mean:

statistically registered

the website; http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3085 contains the following quote.

"You can only detect events that you statistically registered when you reserved the VI that contains the event structure for execution."

I think you meant to say "statically" not "statistically"

Later in the article you can read about dynamic registration, although I would suggest starting with static registration, which is usually all you will need. Static registration means configuring the event structure at edit time using the pop-up menu. Dynamic registration means writing code which will register for events and is only useful\needed under some circumstances.

Actually, I think he's just making an editorial comment. Smiley Wink

Good point. I was tired at that point.

Since Michael A. wrote that, it's easiest to tell him about that (e.g. by emailing him or PMing on LAVA), but I doubt he can do anything other than try contacting NI and finding out who's in charge of those content pages. Posting here would probably accomplish nothing. Commenting on that page might help too, but I kind of doubt it.

I agree, there are a lot of grammatical errors in that article. Those did not exist in the original submission to NI I guarantee you. The problem is that the text was passed on to someone who felt they knew better than I what I meant to write and decided to change the context of everything. This is one reason I refused to submit any more articles to the NI website from that point on. Instead I've decided to rewrite this article and eventually post it on the LabVIEW Wiki among other things.

Really? Wow. So, was it more than editorial changes, or was it fundamental changes?

As an aside to the OP, if one looks at the comments submitted, there is one from Dec 2005 by Peter Badcock that points out the same "statically" instead of "statistically".

Hello!

The forums actually do get monitored, so I took note of those changes and put them live already.  If there is anything else, please let us know!

Have a great day!

Hello again!

I also wanted to add that instead of submitting articles to NI, you can now post them up yourself on the NI Developer Zone Community.  Less intermediates!
