to identify USB device at device manager

Hi all :

Please I want help .. I want to build application to to identify device if connected or not to PC .. What I mean if you look at device manager  , please see attach file that I send

What I need to do to build application that check all the time if the device connected or not ,,,

Note : I need to check in this specific please ,, ( device manager)

Can any one help me with this issue , or have any one build such application doing this issue

you can use DAQmx system property node to list out the connected daq devices name

please delete Dev1 from the array and run , it wil show your conncted device name as per MAX.

my usb device name is Dev1, that is right now displaying.

I was supposed to send this vi, check this vi.

Please check whether you have  connected your devices.

Please connect some ni daq devices and check

By the way please tell me what ni hardware you connected and whether you r able to see the same in MAX.

that vi is listing my connected devices like NI- USB 6009.

Hi i am using USB 6501

ITS connected and defined in MAX

but when i run the application its does not work ( device not seemed)

but this applecation working with ni device only,, if i have some USB from another company does the application recognize it

Hi

have you checked the self test in MAX..whether it is passing..

If a device is able to be seen in MAX means , the same should be able to retrieive in DAQmx property node in labview.

I have done the same for USB 6009, it's working fine for me.

May be any other forum members who r familiar with this can answer you..

 I am not sure 3rd party hardwares,

sorry i dont have dealt with the propertynodes of 3rd party hardwares.
