Did you mean:

use property node

When I right click on a property node or invoke and then click on help for +++ For example, click " Help for border" and notthing come up?  How do I know how to use that specific property since there are so many in Labview.

What do you mean "nothing comes up"?
  1. Do you get the online help window at all, just that there is no entry for the desired property?
  2. Does the online help work otherwise?
  3. What is your LabVIEW version?

Oh,
I just try to get help on the property node. How to figure out what to wire to a property? Right click, I see "help" and "Help for ****". but the second one never work.
I have LV6.1

It never works?

"Border" is a property I'm not familiar with, with which element is this connected?
A good one to verify is the 'bounds' property of an item (it is included in almost everything)

Maybe you didn't install the LV help files?

Sorry, 6.1 is too old for me to test. In the version I use (7.0...8.20) I haven't had any problems.

I have 6.1 installed (and 5.1.1 and 7.1.1 and 8.0 and 8.2) and I don't have any problems with displaying help on any property node item.  Try rebooting or try reinstalling Labview.

Hello All,

Below, I have included some links to LabVIEW 6.1 documentation - there are links to the online help files as well as other release documentation.  You can also check out the last two links to possibly figure out why you cannot view your help files.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to post on this thread and I will get back to you.

Sincerely,
