using localhost to read serial com port

Hi,

i have device attach to serial com port, by using hyperterminal & demux (refer to pic attach) i able to read the data from the port; same if using cmd telnet localhost [port].

By use the basic read write serial, what i get back is unknown format data.

How can i use the labview to get back the data?? any idea??

i able to get back the wanted data using labview.

Attach with pic that can help other ppl to solve similar question.

Your message subject said that you were using a serial port.

I guess that was incorrect because your screenshot and VI  looks like it is strictly dealing with TCP/IP functions which have nothing to do with a serial port.
