Did you mean:

vi mantra

Hey,
I'm a novice at labview. Can somebody suggest me an innovative project for Ni's VI mantra? Just a direction is enough, I'll extrapolate it.

Thanks..

You asked for scope and dmm simulation information in your posts here and here and now you are looking for NI's VI "religious or mystical syllable or poem" according to Wikepedia? That makes no sense.

You've gotten several suggestions for a project and imho, been given some directions already. How much more do you want and do you really expect someone here to do your homework?

Wow... I didn't expect that there would be such a "warm" response to queries by newbies at NI discussion forums. Just that getting an idiea from professional already working with NI seems like an ardous task now that no one seems to understand the meaning of 'give a suggestion' and how it totally differs from carrying an note on one's back saying 'kick me'.

Dennis, if you go to NI's website and search for VI Mantra, you will see that it is a contest.  They are looking for students (presumably) to write a white paper on how to use Labview to perform some R&D.  It seems to be based in India, which is probably why they chose the word Mantra for the contest.  Dumby (where did you get that name) Smiley Very Happy is simply looking for an idea for an entry.

Maybe he could use Labview to prove that Pluto is or is not a planet.

You've gotten several 'warm' responses to the same question you've made a couple of times and the reference to 'mantra' still doesn't make any sense. You've been also given pointers on how to look through the shipping examples. When you have a specific question, someone here will be happy to respond. If you continue to create new threads with the same question, I don't think you will get a much different answer.

When I looked your initial request I had no idea what you are asking for.

But now reading the additional replies it appears you are looking for an interesting project to learn LabVIEW.

I would like to suggest you create an application that demonstrates how to drag-and-drop objects in a Picture Control.

THis is something that people have been asking about for years in one form or another and if you are successful you will have learned a lot about LabVIEW.

Look at this thread for a collection of posting that use the Picture control.

All of the hints you need are in there. all you have to do is put it together.

Trying to help,

Ben

I think using Labview to create a "religious or mystical syllable or poem" would be very interesting.  Anyone remember the guy who used Labview to create God?  I've searched the forum and can't find that thread.
