vision acquisition

Hi everybody.

I am doing a project to display 2 video images.

However, my program doesn't seem to show one of the image. 

I am using vision acquisition in my program to read the data from the camera.

I am using 2 rear view car mirror cameras for image acquisiton through a stinger pro transmitter to a yellow jacket receier,

The video signal is sent to the laptop through an image grabbing device ez-grabber.

Stingers and yellow-jackets.  Sounds like you are building a missile!

But seriously, my first reccomendation is to check your device using NI MAX.  Can you see both devices in MAX?  And can they both snap images?

 I added "vision acquisition" tool via "vision express" for acquiring video from web cam. I am able to configure and test the video signals well by using the acquisition settings. Even after choosing the "stopped" and "image out" options in the  acquisition settings, they are not appearing on the "vision acquisition" icon which is present in the block diagram . Kindly assist me in this regard,

Can you please post the vi which u've developed, so that we better understand the problem what u're facing.

I have connected HAMA webcam to my computer through USB. After making the acquisition settings I am not getting 'Image out', 'stop' indicator on the icon (see the attachment for the snap shot) . I also tried other method to acquire video ie using Ni IMAQ USB grab, acquire, but I in my control pallete only Ni IMAQ grab, acquire etc are available and the USB option is missed out. Kindly assist me.

  Thanks for your quick reply. Now I learnt that NI IMAQ dx should be used if I acquire video from web cam and in this case NI IMAQ will not work. But with your simple acquisition LV, i can monitor only video from Laptop built-in camera, not from USB Web cam. Can you tell me how to view USB Web cam.

My requirement is very simple, having start and stop buttons to record the video and store it in a video file for later viewing. Can you help in implementing this requirement. 

 Also can you tell me why I cant use Vision acquisition tool to implement my requirements, in which i already face problem with indicators.

I suggest you, first start new thread in the forum, in appropriate place, preferably in http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/bd-p/200.

Coming to the problem, Please check if the IMAQdx Open Camera's input Session In and see other device which is your USB cam. When you click that, it should show list of available IMAQdx devices first.

Coming to Vision Acquisition, can you provide more details and post vi also if possible?
