After a long hiatus and reinstalling on a new hard drive, I'm resuming development of an IVI driver. Previously, when I experimented, I was able to build a driver that used the VISA API.
Now, on this new installation, when I start the wizard, the only choices I have are GBIP, serial and VXI (message and register).
How can I specify VISA?

Hi phrog,
As this Measurement Studio LabWindows/CVI Instrument Driver Developer's Guide notes, the VISA I/O interface is the mechanism through which the driver communicates with instrument hardware. The IVI Instrument Driver Wizard lets you select from among GPIB, VXI, and serial to further specify the interface for your instrument.
I hope this information helps!

Thanx, Swathi B.
My mistake was that I thought I had to select one of those four before continuing.
Thanx again
