LabWindows 2020f2 install missing files

The LabWindows/CVI 2020 f2 install seems to miss installing some important files. I'm missing the cvi.exe file I would expect to find in the C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\CVI2020 folder. There may be other files missing.

I've run the repair, and tried uninstall and re-installing the software. Is the distribution incomplete?

I have not yet tried installing an older version of CVI 2020 first.

cvi.exe should indeed be in C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\CVI2020... Some permission problem ?

If it is, it is an unusual one. I'm running the package manager with (what should be) admin rights.

The installer gives no error messages. I don't know if there is an install log saved somewhere with any more details.

Comparing to the CVI2019 folder, most files and sub-directories that I would expect do exist, so the installer certainly has write permissions.

I cannot determine a commonality to the missing files. For example cvi.exe is missing but compile.exe exists. Same with .dll files. Some are missing but others were installed correctly.

I wonder if it can be an antivirus problem: maybe it recognizes some files as new and quarantines them

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.
