LabWindows/CVI2017 setup ?

I installed the software 7-8 months ago and removed it a couple of months ago.

The last install was on an SSD which I formatted for irrelevant reasons. But I guess something went wrong and now I can't re-install the software.

When trying to install from a setup file I got from my school (that worked for me for the same machine before), and with a serial number that is also valid (from other students experience), the installation go through the normal procedure.

I don't need the hardware drivers right now, so I clicked "later" when prompt.

So in the last step (the actual install) I immediately get the message "The NI LabWindows/CVI 2017 installation is complete." but nothing actually happens.

*The software package was marked "leave this feature installed locally" as it should.

The applications and features list in windows doesn't show anything related, and the same for the modify programs list.

I've deleted everything that could be related to the original install and can't figure out why the install doesn't run correctly.

Any help will be appreciated

This would seem to be the problem. The installer thinks that the software is still installed. If it did think it wasn't this text should be something like "Install this feature". Most probably there are still some keys present in the registry that indicate to the installer that the feature is installed on your computer. The easiest solution would be to actually uninstall it first and then do a reinstall.
