Labwindow/CVI over Labview

Can anyone give me the pros and cons of using Labwindow/CVI over Labview?

If there are not any theoretical limits (like a lack of support of LV or CVI) for your application, this is a very subjective decision.

It is also a sensitive issue 😉 since people kinda commit to one of them and believe it is better than the other, sometimes in a fanatic manner.

There many forum threads about that in various discussion boards.

I did a title search and found this, this, this, this and this.

It will give you some idea, and you can then search further.

Hi Raj,

in my opinion you there isn't a way to "calculate" or "demonstrate" which language is better or worse. As ebalcy already pointed out your feeling, habits and experience can orient you towards one or the other. A significative part of this decision can derive from available resource you can count on: technical suppoert from experienced users, friends or collegues with which to discuss some problem or solution and so on.
